Charleswood - Modernist Pool House
Designed to be a seamless extension of the existing home, this luxury pool house performs now as a social hub. As a compliment to their lifestyle, the family wanted a multi-functional space that didn’t threaten the cohesion of the property as a whole. Echoing the exterior of the main house, this Scandinavian-modern building incorporates stunning natural elements, like cedar plank siding and a wealth of windows to invite the outdoors in.
What was once a large grassy space that went entirely unused by the residents, is now a unique, stylized structure that allows the homeowners to entertain freely throughout the summer. In building the pool house, the family reports that they now make the most of the short but well-loved warmer seasons, eliminating bug bites, sun burns, and little wet footprints throughout the house come lunchtime.
